Day 45 - The Peak

May 23, 2014

It is like a requirement for every tourist in Hong Kong to visit the Victoria Peak. And although Migs has been there with his family before, he still wanted to go there with me this time. We took the Tram going there and going back to the terminus. But in the next time we visit there, we agreed that we'll be walking the trail. I am excited for that! :)

We went there in the late afternoon hoping to see Hong Kong in bird's eye view with its magnificent city lights. However, we forgot that "nighttime" in Hong Kong literally comes later than in the Philippines. So we didn't wait up for the sun to set but instead, we went to so far the best restaurant I've been in Hong Kong, Din Tai Fung.

So here are the pictures! :)

We had a great start having brunch at Butao King. For some reason, it tasted better than its branch in the Philippines, Ramen Nagi. Anyway, we'll be reviewing that soon!

We both love Ikea but Migs introduced me to Ikea food. And after that, it has been staple in my grocery list. Wishing there'll be Ikea in the Philippines soon!

Waiting for the Peak Tram!

Mini HK! I love the accidental, perfect photobombing lady at the back!

Although it was foggy when we went there due to the rain, Hong Kong looks very dreamy.

It was quite creepy walking through the foggy trail, though. But we'll take that path next time! :)

Migs got frustrated folding back the map. Thus...

We didn't bother going to the Sky Terrace since it was foggy. Maybe next time when the weather is better and when it's nighttime.

Him checking out other girls, haha!

We initially thought that we'd eat at Bubba Gump, but we resorted to this. Never fails our taste buds!

A bit tired, but the day hasn't ended yet!

In less than an hour, we went to Tsim Sha Tsui to eat (again) in Din Tai Fung. We never knew that there is a proper way in enjoying your Xiao Long Bao!

But more than their dumplings, this is the real winner for me. Best pork chop ever!

How much I have missed having food dates with this man. :)

A failed dinner selfie.

We tried HK's famous mobile ice cream with a rather ironic Colgate advertisement.

Migs was excited to see a Nike branch in Causeway Bay. But...

It's a sign that you should visit me again, Babe! Hahaha!

Anyway, here's a (very) quick video of our Day 2 adventure! :)

In love with HK and that guy,
Kim <3
